LIL J XAVIER IS MATHEW KNOWLES NEWEST STAR

14 year-old Houston-based rapper Lil J xavier may be in his early teens but he’s been pursuing a rap career for some time. Xavier will finally get his official shot with his new album, Young Prince Of Da South, hit stores. The set features guest appearances by George Clinton, Mike Jones, the late Big Hawk, and Paul Wall.

Xavier explained how he ended up auditioning for Mathew Knowles and landing a deal. He said,

“Well actually you know I’ve been doing this for five years. I started when I was nine years-old you know what I’m sayin? Mr. Mat (Mathew Knowles) he had this reception, this after party of the group he was starting or whatever, Popstar, you know what I’m sayin’? I was over there working with their producers already, you know what I’m sayin’? So one of the producers, they was like, ‘Man come on, come over, maybe you can perform, you know what I’m sayin’?’ So I performed, Mr. Mat saw me, and the rest is history.”
