Lil’ Flip has decided to push back the release of his new album, I Need Mine, until next year. The album will now be released on February 28th. The set includes the production of Salaam Remi and Scott Storch with guest appearances by Lyfe Jennings and Nate Dogg. |
In related news, Lil Flip issued a statement in relation to the shooting that occurred outside of his concert at the Quest nightclub in Minneapolis early Sunday morning, December 4th. The rapper said, “The club shooting that occurred this past weekend in Minneapolis is unfortunate and sad. Even though it was not connected to me or my show in any way and happened outside the club where I was performing, it’s cruel that some careless people and senseless actions can ruin a good and positive night, which is all I try to bring to my shows. My prayers go out to those who were injured and their families, and I wish them all a speedy recovery.” |
Two would-be concertgoers suffered non-life-threatening wounds. Authorities are still investigating the shooting. |
