Lil’ Flip’s new album, I Need Mine, has been pushed back to a December 27th release date. The latest single from the project is “What It Do” featuring Mannie Fresh. The album features the production of Scott Storch and Salaam Remi with guest appearances by Lyfe Jennings and Nate Dogg. |
I Need Mine is Flip’s second release since splitting with the Sucka Free label he signed to as a teenager. Sony Records bought out the rapper’s contract after Flip allegedly became suspicious of Sucka Free’s accounting practices. Now the rapper is hands on with everything. He explained, |
“Now everything I do from videos to artwork, I got to have something to do with it. I got to know what’s going on. I want to know why you spent five pennies more than we should have. That’s the best way to be because if a person not trying to mess over you then why would you get mad if I’m asking you questions. So I learned just to pay attention to everything that’s going down and don’t be too comfortable man.” |
