LIFEHOUSE ODD BAND OUT AT RADIO FESTS?
Lifehouse is currently doing the radio station Christmas show circuit in support of their self-titled album. The new collection features the songs “Blind” and the hit “You And Me.” Lifehouse plays live to all fans, including those at the radio station shows where set lists can be as short as 10 to 15 minutes. |
Lifehouse vocalist enjoys playing those shows, however he said it feels strange to be a rock band at a pop show compared with some of the more “manufactured” acts. |
“Yeah, you know sometimes I feel a little out of place at certian shows that we’ve done, but at the same time I really enjoy hip-hop music too, even they guys that sing the tracks. My favorite is when hip-hop guys have live bands. I think Eminem’s a genius, I think the new Kanye West stuff is really amazing, and I think that it’s cool that he had Jon Brion co-produce that with him. I think that’s great. I’m just a fan of all kinds of music. Obviously there’s certain pop groups that you can tell are very manufactured and there’s not a lot gonig on there. It’s more about the image than it is about the music. That kind of bothers us sometimes, because that’s the stuff that’s more popular than guys that are actually writing songs and putting their music out there, you know?” |
Lifehouse will wrap up their radio station stint later this week, but fans will be able to see them on tour next year. The band starts their U.S. jaunt January 15 in San Diego. |
