Comedian and writer Laura Kightlinger came to Hollywood with visions of grandeur but those dreams weren’t met by tough executives who didn’t green light her work for one reason or another. Landing a job at Will & Grace and Saturday Night Live as a writer, Laura made enough of a name for herself to produce her own original scripted series The Minor Accomplishments of Jackie Woodman which makes fun of her real life struggles to make it in tinsel town. In the first episode airing Friday Jackie , played by Laura is rear-ended by Sally Kellerman. Laura says crashing into stars is not an unlikely occurrence while driving around Los Angeles.

Luckily there wasn’t much damage so they parted as friends. Even though Laura doesn’t drive she seems to get rear-ended by wanna be actresses who could get the Academy Award for their performances.

“I was with a friend of mine Jeremy Kramer who plays Bobby P in this and he also helped write the show. He was driving and I was just blabbing and looking out the window. I actually don’t like to drive much like the Jackie Woodman character. He ran into Mario Joyner. We hit this guy and I’m like, ‘Mario!’ It’s really awkward because Mario and I are old friends but yet who was driving, we just rammed his car.”

“I’ve been rear ended at the light twice and both times by actresses who were crying by the time they got to me. I just thought, ‘don’t give me your bullshit.’ I’m allegedly an actor myself and I think maybe they think it’s a guy who’ll have mercy on them or something. I’m like, ‘please just save it.’”
