LAMB OF GOD READY FOR UNHOLY ALLIANCE, SACRAMENT
(VIDEO) Lamb Of God is getting ready to head out on the road with Slayer for the Unholy Alliance tour, well in advance of their new record… Randy speaks about the set and the effort…here! |
Lamb Of God will kick off their appearance on Slayer’s Unholy Alliance tour on June 15 at the Tweeter Center in Camden, just a stone’s throw away from their hometown of Philadelphia. |
Lamb Of God will release their new album, Sacrament, on August 22, and the band’s Randy Blythe was asked about capturing their live show on tape. |
“I don’t know if we’ll ever be able to do that because we are a live band, dude. We’re from, like, a garage. We’re five dirty dudes. We play it loud and throw it down.” |
Blythe was also asked about the challenge of making up a set-list, especially as an opener. |
“I guess we try to pick and choose wisely, I mean, songs that a lot of people are really familiar with, songs that have had videos and so forth. People may have heard ’em, maybe got a little radio play. Not like we’re the Backstreet Boys or anything and have mad radio play. We just try to put some stuff in there that people want to hear. I know people are disappointed when we don’t play certain songs, but, ‘Hey, I’m sorry, I can only do this much in 45 minutes. What can I do? What do you want me to do?'” |
Lamb Of God is taking their music to the fans. Those who attend the Unholy Alliance shows with a Revolver tour program and a Lamb Of God T-Shirt, could be eligible for a special listening party. Fans will be taken backstage to meet the band and listen to some tracks off Sacrament. |
