KORN VOCALIST DAVIS SET FOR 2007 SOLO ACOUSTIC TOUR
Foo Fighters are planning to showcase the second side of their album, In Your Honor, with an acoustic tour. The band is overseas for the first part of the month, but Taylor Hawkins can assure fans the band will be back. |
Hawkins recently sat down with us to promote his new band, Taylor Hawking and the Coattail Riders, but during the interview he revealed that the band is taking a full tour to perform songs in an acoustic forum. |
“Well we’re talking, it’s in the works, it’s in the plans, it’s on the books to do an acoustic tour. Because we have this whole other acoustic record, so we want do to that in the right setting and not do that in front of 12,000 people in the middle of a rock concert, which a lot of bands do. They do this, ‘Alright, now the band’s going to go to the platform by the soundboard to do five acoustic songs, which every f–kin’ band does. I’m like, ‘ah, try not to do everything every f–kin’ band does.” |
Hawkins points to the success of acoustic numbers like “Times Like These” as examples of how well the band can do with a scaled down sound. Hawkins, who usually propels the loudest of the instruments, said he’s looking forward to the tour and looking to the challenge of adding percussive instruments tactfully to the songs. |
