KORN RECALLS ROCKY SNL EXPERIENCE
Korn made one of their first TV appearances on network TV as part of the live performance segment for Saturday Night Live a few weeks back. The band is on the heavy side, musically, and fans weren’t quite ready for the band. |
Jonathan Davis said that there were some Korn fans in the audience, but most weren’t impressed. Davis said he hoped that he scared a few of them. |
[Davis] “No, it was cool. We for years refused to do TV because of the way it sounded and it seemed like bands didn’t come off very well and it sounded really sh–ty. We just didn’t… We weren’t into it, but this time around since the technology has come so far we decided to give it a go. We’d done Jimmy Kimmel before or the MTV thing with the Icon, but this was our first time in an actual TV studio on SNL Live.” [Fieldy] “I was freaking nervous.” [Davis] “It makes us all, we were all just really nervous.” |
Meanwhile, Korn is out supporting their new album See You On The Other Side and their new single and video “Twisted Transistor.” The band is currently wrapping up their run of radio festivals for the remainder of the year. |
