When a married couple take a road trip in the Stephen King story You Know They Got a Hell of a Band, their vacation takes unexpected twists and turns. NYPD Blue star Kim Delaney plays the wife of her high school sweetheart Steven Weber who gets them terribly lost.

Kim is new to the horror genre having played a detective on cop shows for most of her small screen work. She says she was attracted to the underlying story which explores a marriage taking a wrong turn as well as losing their way on the road.

“My character would rather be in a nice hotel with room service. That’s where we start and we get lost in this town. He thinks he knows what to do but like quite a few men they don’t like to ask for directions. So with that he keeps driving and we end up in this quaint little town which is a slice from the past.”

Stephen King’s Nightmares and Dreamscapes series begins at 9PM tomorrow with Autopsy Room Four with You Know They Got a Hell of A Band following at 10PM on TNT.rn

“I think Stephen King when he writes they’re such extremes in his work. It does go deeper than two people taking a road trip and getting lost in this town. It’s also about everything underneath that; where they are in their marriage, what they both want and how they compromise. What happens when you compromise and what happens when you take that left turn instead of that right turn?”
