KILLSWITCH ENGAGE WORKING ON HEAVIEST ALBUM YET
Killswitch Engage give us an update on their upcoming album and they call it their heavieset album yet |
With the Music as a Weapon Tour with Disturbed and set for the main stage on The Mayhem Festival with Slayer and Marilyn Manson, Killswitch Engage continue their hard work in the studio working on their follow up album to 2006’s “As Daylight Dies.” For the self-titled album, it was recently reported that lead vocalist Howard Jones was busy finishing up the vocal tracks in Atlanta. On April 7th, 2009 the band debuted a new song at the Revolver Golden God Awards giving fans a glimpse of what they can expect from the hard rocking band on their new album. |
We caught up with Killswitch Engage on the black carpet at The Revolver Golden God Awards to get an update on the new album. |
“We’re pretty close to finishing the album. It’s about ninety five percent there and it will be out in about June, hopefully. And we’re excited.” |
Mike D also talked about the new album being their heaviest album yet. |
“It’s awesome. You guys are going to love it. It’s heavier than ever, it’s lighter than ever, it’s got more singing and screaming than ever.” |
Killswitch Engage will be joining the Record Store Day festivities celebrating Record Store Retail Outlets around the globe, which will take place April 18th. Killswitch Engage will be at Bull Moose’s Scarborough location in the U.K. with an autograph signing on April 18th at 4pm where fans can pre-order their forthcoming album and to make sure they receive a limited edition Killswitch Record Store Day poster custom designed by Killswitch Engage bassist Mike D. Killswitch Engage is set to release the new album by June and The Mayhem Tour kicks off kick off July 10th in Sacramento, California and conclude August 16th in San Antonia, Texas. Joining Killswitch Engage will be Slayer, Marilyn Manson, Bullet For My Valentine, Trivium, All That Remains and God Forbid to name a few. |
