(VIDEO) Killswitch Engage couldn’t resist the lure of the UK fests Reading and Leeds. Find out how it went for them…here! |
Killswitch Engage is set to release its new album, As Daylight Dies, on November 21. The band was focused on writing and recording the album all summer, except for a few special gigs. |
The band’s Justin and Joel talked about the lure of the Reading and Leeds festival and what they found so interesting about the shows. |
[Joel]”It came up this year. It was something we were hoping to do last year, but we didn’t get asked, and it seemed like the right thing to do. It’s kind of a random time for us, just flying over to do two shows, but it was a good opportunity and it was really cool. It was definitely a different vibe. How many other chances will Killswitch Engage get to play in front of Pearl Jam’s crowd? It’s kind of out there It’s really weird. It was what it was, and it went over really well. It was really cool.” [Justin] “I thought it went over really well. I thought the crowd response was great. We played second on the day. Mastodon played first. I think their set time was like 12:15 and we played around one, right after them, and to think there were that many people out there ready to go and way into it at that time of day, especially when we did Reading was Sunday I think — which was the second day or third day so they had been through two days |
Killswitch Engage will tour Europe in October before playing a string of U.S. dates in support of As Daylight Dies in the fall. |
