KIEFER SUTHERLAND ON THE WILD

(VIDEO) Kiefer Sutherland roars as the voice of Samson the lion in The Wild.

It’s a concrete jungle out there and Keifer Sutherland roars as the voice of Samson the lion leader in the new Disney animated film The Wild. The star of 24 says the film is essentially a father and son story.

A father himself to teenager Sarah Jude, Keifer sees the film as an opportunity for parents to bond with their children.

“He’s a city lion but he tells his son many stories of his adventures in the wild and his son has the great desire to live up to his father’s image and wants to experience the wild for himself. And that creates the kind of conflict if you will that carries them through the film.”

And after you’ve heard Keifer in The Wild, you can see him as a secret service agent in the upcoming film, The Sentinel.

“I think the film is incredibly funny and I think it’s incredibly touching. I’m always surprised when I see it how moved I am at some of the stuff. Not very often do you get to do something that has a wonderful moral to it and this film has that. On so many levels I think it’s touching. It’s one of the few opportunities I have as an actor to be able to take a young person to a movie and say, ‘look this is what we did over here.’ I just see it as a fantastic opportunity for a parent and a child to have a really wonderful couple of hours together.”
