KIDZ IN THE HALL RECORD SONG IN SUPPORT OF OBAMA
Kidz In The Hall show Barack Obama some love!!!! |
While Barack Obama may be getting points from the housewives for having Oprah Winfrey out on the campaign trail with him, underground rap heads may soon follow suit as Kidz In the Hall recently recorded a song, “Work To Do,” in support of the presidential hopeful. |
Group member Naledge, who hails from Chicago, explained, “‘Work To Do’ is not necessarily a song that was meant as a campaign song but more so a philosophy on how to approach life in general. I think much of what is wrong in my community is that hope has been lost by many of my peers. What many fail to realize is that one person can control his or her own destiny, it just requires due diligence and the ability to fight adversity. I happen to think that Obama embodies everything that is promising for the future of our nation and represents the hope I sought to speak on in the song. Being from Chicago, I have seen his rise to prominence first hand and I can honestly say that I believe he is the best option for our next president.” |
“‘Class Particiaption is the new Kidz In The Hall EP. That’s gonna kinda be the segue between the movement that we got going on right now, building that, and then the next step which is gonna be Naledge solo. You know I mean… just like he said we kinda make so much music all the time and we have an in house system with Major League that it’s kinda like let’s just keep getting this stuff going. Let’s keep, you know, getting the music out.” |
In related news, Kidz In The Hall recently inked a deal with Duck Down Records. The group’s future projects will be released under the new deal. Group member Double O shared what the group was working on. He said, |
