At nine months pregant, Keri Russell describes herself as key lime pie. |
Waitress star Keri Russell created a daily pie in the film that reflects how her character is feeling. Keri who is about to give birth to her first baby by husband Shane Deary might as well create the I Can’t Wait To Have This Baby Pie. |
She describes the ingredients that would go into her self-described pie. |
“My most favorite, favorite type of pie is key lime pie so I would say that’s a good description of me because it’s sweet but has a little bit of a kick to it. And that’s definitely me at nine months pregnant. I may go into labor as we speak. I’m so excited and of course I’m a little nervous. I’ve never done this before so anything you’ve never done before is a whole adventure but I’m so excited and my husband is so excited. It’s just a thrilling time. You go through this maybe once or twice in your life so it’s really an exciting time.” |
Keri and fellow cast members Cheryl Hines and the late Adrienne Shelly consumed massive amounts of pie on the set. She says it hasn’t unsweetened her taste for the dessert. |
“I’m still not sick of pies. Can you get sick of pies? I don’t know. I don’t think so. Like two different types of pies every day for lunch and we would eat them every day. Oh are you kidding me? Every day. I don’t know where they would get them. I think they would make some and order some. I’ve received many, many a pie for congratulations and different things. Who doesn’t like pie?” |
While Keri is busy at home baking pies for her new baby, she’ll have another movie coming out August Rush playing a cellist who has a one-night stand with Irish guitarist Jonathan Rhys Meyers, and their collaboration is musical prodigy Freddie Highmore. |
