KEIRA KNIGHTLEY AMAZED BY JOHNNY DEPP

It’s been three years since The Curse of The Black Pearl, and Keira Knightley is no longer the fair maiden Elizabeth Swann who needed to be rescued. In the Pirates of The Caribbean: The Dead Man’s Chest Keira is rougher and tougher and more assertive when it comes to getting what she wants even if she has to cave in and give Captain Jack Sparrow a long awaited kiss. Keira says she’s still amazed by Johnny Depp’s pirate creation.

This time Knightley’s mission is to save Captain Jack Sparrow from certain death by the sea villain Davy Jones.rn

“It was really funny on the first one because the character of Jack Sparrow as I read it was totally straight. Then he came in and created this amazing character and nobody knew when we were on the first film whether it was gonna work or not or what was going on. We all went, ‘wow that’s amazing.’ But when the film came out and everybody loved it so much, I loved it so much. I couldn’t stop laughing and I’d been there when he was doing it. It’s so lovely to have that character again because it is one that I personally love that everybody loves and you see him doing his thing. Wow, it’s Jack Sparrow, it’s not Johnny. Jack Sparrow, that’s amazing. I mean it’s been quite difficult at times because I think he’s taking it even further. There are points where you can’t help but laugh”rn
