Kathleen Turner who has undoubtedly one of the sexist voices in showbiz is no stranger to talking through animated characters namely as Jessica in Roger Rabbit. Kathleen recalls when director Robert Zemeckis called about being the voice of the monster house, he had an interesting pitch. |
Kathleen says she was attracted to the project because of the unique way in which the animated house comes to life. |
“Well I got involved with Monster House basically through Bob Zemeckis. He had cast me as the voice of Jessica in Roger Rabbitt. It had been quite an experience so he called up and said, ‘would you be interested in a new technique’, and he knows I’m always interested in any kind of new developments that comes along. But the real hook was he said, ‘well you played the sexiest animated character and now you can play the ugliest.’ And I said, ‘oh okay!'” |
