Kate Hudson Cracked Up Filming You, Me And Dupree

(VIDEO) Kate Hudson couldn’t keep a straight face acting opposite Owen Wilson and Matt Dillon in You, Me & Dupree.

Kate Hudson plays the understanding and ever patient wife Molly who must welcome houseguest Owen Wilson minutes after her marriage to Matt Dillon in You, Me and Dupree. As the straight person in the film Kate found it very difficult not to crack up laughing.

Married to rocker Chris Robinson in real life, Kate shared an intimacy with Matt Dillon on screen. But she says even those intense scenes were funny because of Matt’s sense of humor.

“And man when you‘re doing things with Owen I have the hardest time not laughing. I feel like a horrible actor. I just sit there and I break over and over again. I can’t help it. He just cracks me up so much.”

There was one particular moment where Kate is having a heart to heart talk with her father played by Michael Douglas and Owen Wilson is sitting on the couch with a neck brace on. Kate says she wouldn’t look at him so she could stay serious in the scene.rn

“When you’re playing husband and wife you’re husband and wife and you’re intimate with each other. I’d never done that before and Matt it’s so comfortable and easy. It’s been really great and he’s so funny. I mean once again we’re the straight guys. He plays it so straight that sometimes I just laugh because he’s so intensely focused on the insanity and it makes it really funny.”
