JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE TAKES ON TROUBLED YOUTH IN ALPHA DOG
Justin Timberlake stars in Alpha Dogs, a movie about the FBI crackdown of a So. Cal drug dealer. |
Justin Timberlake will make his second movie appearance in Alpha Dogs, which will be released January 12. The former NSync star will portray Frankie Ballenbacher, the best friend of Johnny Truelove, played by Emile Hirsch, who is the youngest person to ever make the FBI’s most wanted list. |
Timberlake said director Nick Cassavetes worked very hard to convince Timberlake do do the role. |
“Well I got the script. The script was sent to me, and I read it and I was just…when I first read it I was like this is a really dark movie making an amazing statement. When I met Nick — when I met with Nick because I’ve met Nick plenty of times — when I met with Nick for the is project he gave me a stack this thick [hands wide] of newspaper clippings and police reports, and I had gone back and read the script after I had gone through all those and said, ‘Wait this isn’t as much dark as it is real.'” |
Timberlake talked about his favorite part of Alpha Dogs. |
“I think my favorite part about this movie is that it gives it to you in a way where it doesn’t make you feel like you have to make a choice of what’s right and wrong. You just naturally gravitate towards the right choice, and that’s why it’s hard to watch.” |
Alpha Dog also stars Sharon Stone, Bruce Willis, and Ben Foster. Timberlake will also be busy with his music career kicking off his tour January 8. |
