JUSTIN LONG ROCKY EXPERIENCE BONDING WITH WILLIS IN DIE HARD
Justin Long and Maggie Q bonded with Bruce Willis in very different ways. |
Live Free or Die Hard stars Justin Long and Maggie Q had to interact with Bruce Willis in completely opposite ways. Justin plays a nerdy computer geek joining forces with Willis to save the planet from a computerized meltdown at the hands of Maggie Q. |
Justin had to bond with Bruce but Maggie got to kick his butt. |
“I had the better deal I think. Yeah she genuinely did. Beating up on someone I think is way more gratifying than bonding. You can bond any day. Justin: It was actually probably harder for me though just because Bruce is a very kind of cool, kind of stoic, kind of keeps to himself. You know he’s got his friends and he jokes with the crew but in terms of me like young monkey boy coming into the set we have very different energies and for the first two months of the shoot I thought he hated my guts.” |
Bruce Willis has been known to bond with his cast mates often treating them to fine meals other than craft services. Justin shared a surreal experience he had with the action star. |
“He invited me to the premiere of Rocky Balboa just randomly. We’d go home every day and it would be like, ‘see ya Bruce.’ See ya later kid and we just kind of went our separate ways and one night he was just like, ‘hey you wanna go see Rocky?’ I was excited to see it. He said, ‘yeah I told my friend I would go.’ His friend who turns out to be Sylvester Stallone who we ran into with Arnold Schwarzenegger. It was like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis and Sly. He fit right in, Justin fit right in, and I was on the periphery, ‘excuse me Bruce do you want some popcorn? Which one of these was not like the others? Here’s this big 80s muscle stars and I was like, ‘did you say you wanted the Diet Coke Bruce or the regular Coke?’ It was a very strange night in my life.” |
Next Justin bonds with Steve Zahn in Strange Wilderness. |
