JUDD APATOW WONDERS WHY HIS WIFE CHOSE HIM

Knocked Up writer and director Judd Apatow thinks his wife choosing him is similar to Katherine Heigl choosing Seth Rogen.

The 40-year Old Virgin writer and director Judd Apatow explores the literary story of beauty and the beast when Seth Rogen’s average slacker Joe wins the heart of the gorgeous successful Katherine Heigl in Knocked Up.

Judd says it’s a scenario that he’s familiar with being married to his real life wife of 10 years Leslie Mann who also stars in the film.

“It’s funny because a lot of people will see the movie and think a guy like that could never get a woman like that. Then I always just say well look at my wife, she made that mistake so could Katherine Heigl.”

Judd says Katherine and Seth were perfect choices for their roles.

“Seth and Katherine they had amazing chemistry from the get go. They were just really funny, really funny fighting with each other when they got sweet. It was sweet because Seth actually looks nervous around her which is good because he is nervous. I’m still that nervous with my wife after 10 years so I understand it well.”

Judd has a cast of cameos appearing in Knocked Up featuring his friends spoofing themselves such as 40 year-old Virgin star Steve Carell, James Franco who was in Judd’s Freaks and Geeks TV series and Ryan Seacrest spoofing his interviewer on E! Entertainment television. Knocked Up starts Friday in theaters.
