Josh Hartnett got into the independent spirit making Lucky Number Slevin with his friends Bruce Willis and Lucy Liu.

He says the film gave them the freedom to drive each other crazy.

“Working on this film was probably the best experience I ever had because these guys are all good friends of mine. We got to really jibe each other and drive each other crazy. Ultimately I had a really creative time throughout the filmmaking and not really worried about what the studio is gonna think because we did it independently. It was a genuinely fun time making the film and we all got to see the worse sides of each other and the best sides. In the end it came out being one of those kind of exciting pieces of work because everyone was kind of ready for it the whole time and open to the process.”

Josh has a way of bonding with his co-stars. He met his girlfriend Scarlett Johansson on the set of his next film The Black Dahlia.
