JOHNNY DEPP INDEBTED TO THE FANS – PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN

(VIDEO) Johnny Depp owes his success to the fans that supported him.

It’s hard to imagine there was a time when director Tim Burton had to beg the studio to hire Johnny Depp for Edward Scissorhands. Starring in the back to back blockbuster Pirates of The Caribbean with a sequel already in the works, Johnny says he owes a pirate’s debt to the fans.

Johnny says he’s never had more fun playing Captain Jack Sparrow. Pirates of the Caribbean:Dead Man’s Chest opens tomorrow. rnrn

“It’s still a new experience for me to actually have more than three people see my movies. It feels good. I’ll tell you what feels best to me is that for a number of years the only reason I’ve been able to keep going and keep doing what I’ve been lucky enough to do is because there was a certain core group of people out there who stuck with me and supported me and when to see the films. If there were seven people in the theater it was them and the fact that Pirates 1 had the success or impact that it did proves to me that it’s because of the viewers. The only reason why Pirates 2 and Pirates 3 are being done is because of the viewers. They put us here so that’s what feels best to me.”
