JOELY FISHER URGES KIDS TO CARE

In honor of Kids Care Week October 21- 27th, Til Death star Joely Fisher is getting a jump on the spirit of giving by teaming up with Quaker to help moms and kids volunteer through Kids Care Clubs, a national organization dedicated to developing compassion through service in children 5 to 13 years old. |
Joely, the mother of a two and a six year-old learned early from her own parents about the passion of giving at a young age. |
“I was raised by my mother Connie Stevens instilling in me the value of having respect for humanity and having compassion for other human beings. As a mother I’m trying to do the same thing with my two daughters and I just think that if you start them off in a good direction. If you give them the tools to go out there and help the world and do what you can then they go off into adulthood with much stronger and much better humans.” |
Joely and her two daughters visited a senior center in Manhattan to kick off Kids Care Week. |
“I got to take my two children and I also went with a group of Kids Care Clubs, kids from Staten Island and these kids actually had been in it a couple of years so they were telling me the stories about the wonderful work that they’d been doing. And we went to the senior center and entertained people and laughed with them and conversed with them and made crafts and brought them good snacks from Quaker and lots of other treats. And it was a really spectacular day for all of us.” |
