JIM JONES TO EXECUTIVE PRODUCE NEW PURPLE CITY ALBUM
The Diplomats Jim Jones is a busy man. He’s a recording artist, an A&R executive for Warner Brothers, co-CEO of Diplomat Records and CEO of Byrd Gang Records but he still found the time to get involved with the new Purple City project. Purple City is a Harlem-based off-shoot of the Diplomats made up of Shiest Bub “The Emperor,” Un Kasa and Agallah “The Don Bishop.” Jones is serving as the executive producer of the group’s new album, The Purple Album, which hits stores on May 2nd. |
Jones explained his love and allegiance to his Harlem neighborhood. He said, |
“I love my hood. I love my community. That’s all I got. I mean at the end of the day I feel better when I’m in the hood then anyplace else in the world so I keep it like that.” |
The Purple Album will features guest appearances by Jim Jones, former Hot Boy B.G., Max B., and Boot Camp Click with production by Dame Grease, Derrick “D Dot” Angelettie, Scram Jones, and Purple City. |
