Six Feet Under star Jeremy Sisto stars in The Fifth Quarter from Stephen King’s Nightmares & Dreamscapes series on TNT. Jeremy plays a newly released convict who learns of a map by his dying friend leading to millions of stolen dollars, and embarks on a dangerous treasure hunt. For the sake of realism which is quite unlike Stephen King, Jeremy and the director shot some of the scenes in a real prison. |
Jeremy says the theme of The Fifth Quarter shows his character’s struggling with the temptation to return to a life of crime.rn |
“The director and I went into the cell and he had the camera on his shoulder and we tried to capture in some kind of montage what it might be like, what some moments in there might be like trapped in there 19, 20 hours a day. It was definitely a haunting thing but you kind of feel sort of moved.” |
Jeremy will star in the new television series Kidnapped premiering this fall on NBC The Fifth Quarter also stars Samantha Mathis and airs 10PM tomorrow on TNT. |
“There’s a theme in the story of someone who’s really intent on staying out of prison when he gets out and knowing that there’s a reality of people who are in prison actually returning. And he really wants to fight it. It’s the story of him being drawn right back into that world again.” |
