JENNIFER LOPEZ FEELS THE NOISE

Jennifer Lopez produced Feel The Noise to introduce a new type of movie musical to audiences. Reggeaton.

Jennifer Lopez and her company Nuyorican Productions is the power behind Feel The Noise, the story of a young man from the South Bronx with dreams of making it as a rapper.

The Bronx born fly girl was interested in the project because of her love for the eclectic mix of musical styles called reggaeton.

“It’s always important to document moments in time. I know when we were growing up it was the same thing. It was like break dancing and this and the other and reggaeton is that for our generation now. It’s just the mix of it, the music is hot and something that really moves people being that it’s a mix of hip hop and reggae and Latino rap. It just has a great mix of energy and I think that it was important to put that down on film, you know. It’s just a little bit more of party music where rap can get serious sometimes. Reggaeton is all about moving, dancing partying. It just has that real hot energy.”

In addition to responding to the music and the dancing, Jennifer who became mega successful from simply believing in herself says there’s also a message of realizing your dreams.

“I think the message is really about following your dreams, not getting caught up with silly stuff and just keeping your eye on the prize. At the same time keeping your integrity, believing in yourself and being true to yourself. We can get so caught up with things in our neighborhood and this guy and that girl and this and that. We just got to keep our eye on the prize sometimes. Just really keep fast to your dream.”

Jennifer is currently feeling the noise with her husband Marc Anthony touring the country together through November.
