JENNIFER HUDSON MAKES HER MARK IN DREAMGIRLS

Jennifer Hudson feels like she made the varsity team by joining film cast….

Dreamgirls stars Beyonce, Eddie Murphy, Jamie Foxx, American Idol finalist Jennifer Hudson, and Tony winner Anika Noni Rose in the story of the rise of a ’60s girl group which is loosely based on the story of Diana Ross & The Supremes. The film is scheduled to hit theaters nationwide during the Christmas holiday.

Hudson recently shared how honored she was to be part of the cast. She said,

“It was amazing. I mean and such an honor for me to be among the best. To rank among them and to be in a cast with them. And to stand beside them, that must say a lot for me. It says like, ‘Wow I must be one of them.'”

Hudson will play the role of Effie White. The role was originated on Broadway by Jennifer Holiday, whose performance of the emotional tune And I’m Telling You I’m Not Going made her an overnight star.
