Jennifer Garner suggests her film Catch And Release is a lighter antidote to the heavier Academy Award nominated films.

Catch and Release star Jennifer Garner thinks audiences need a break from watching the heavy Academy award nominated movies such as Babel, The Departed, Letters From Iwo Jima, Little Miss Sunshine and The Queen.

She says her film is the perfect antidote because it’s just the right length and won’t make you feel like you’ve swallowed medication.

“It’s kind of a good antidote to all the Academy movies we’ve been watching over the last couple of months that are brilliant and you love them and you learn something but at the same time it’s kind of like taking a dose of medicine. You feel like, ‘gosh this is long,’ or ‘Oh I’m so depressed.’ You can feel good at the end of this but have also seen a little bit of drama and have a little comedy and not have it go in a straight line.”

The dramady about a woman who bonds with her fiance’s best friends after he’s died is the perfect date movie according to Jennifer.

“It’s really this girl with this group of guys. It’s as much about the group of guys as it is about me and they’re all definitely being guys. But it’s also a movie that you can grab a girlfriend and go to. It’s just fun.”

Next Jennifer gets a little heavier fare returning to her Sydney Bristow Alias days as an FBI agent specializing in locating bomb sites in The Kingdom.
