JASON SCHWARTZMAN IS ROCK AND ROLL KING

(VIDEO) Jason Schwartzman says Marie Antoniette is more rock n’ roll even though it’s set in Victorian times.

Jason Schwartzman plays Louis XVI, the French King who marries Austrian teen beauty Queen Marie Antoinette to keep the peace. Even though the film is set in Victorian times Jason says the film is not shot like a documentary but leans more towards the MTV generation using his own style of walking and talking with rock music as the sound track.

Jason’s youthful spirit was challenged when he had to command 600 blood hounds on horseback for the hunting scenes.

“We weren’t trying to make an historical film. We were trying to make a movie about emotions, about feelings, about youth and about power. That’s why we talk kind of casually. We don’t do different voices. Everybody speaks in their normal voice. We walk the way it feels natural and there’s rock n’ roll music because that kind of is the spirit of youth.”

His hunting experience might come in handy as next Jason is in talks to star in The Fantastic Mr. Fox where he’ll play a farmer who has it out with the sly foxes eating his chickens.rn

“Each day was a challenge and wow I can’t believe I have to do that. The horseback riding and the hunting. I never thought I’d be hunting with a pack of like 600 blood hounds. That’s for professional horseback riders. I never thought I would get to do that. I never thought I would get to shoot at Versailles. Every day I would go to Versailles I didn’t think it was real. This is like I never took one moment for granted.”
