JANET JACKSON ALBUM NEAR COMPLETION

Janet Jackson has been working on a new album for several motnhs and according to her long time collaborator Jimmy Jam she should be finished recording by the end of January. Jam said,

The album will include the production of Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, The Trackboys, Kwame, and Jermaine Dupri.

“It’s gonna be good, I tell you that. It’s coming really well. We’re trying to be done by….I think we’ll be done at end of January. In fact I know we’ll be done by the end of January because she’s suppose to start shooting a film in February so I know we’ll be done by then. But we’re coming along really good. We’ve been collaborating with Jermaine Dupri on some songs and that’s going really really well. I’m really excited. It’s twenty years since the Control album and the fact to still be making music together is very cool. It doesn’t happen like that very often.”

Jackson’s last album was Damita Jo which debuted at Number Two on the Billboard 200 albums chart. The album was certified platinum for sales of one million copies.
