The singer kicks off his tour on December 26th in San Diego, California, and he’s hoping to play thirty cities in total. What will be unique about Foxx’s tour is that he will come out and do a stand up set before returning later to perform hits from his double platinum sophomore album, Unpredictable. The singer will also be joined by different opening acts throughout the tour. So far Fantasia, Snoop Dogg, Common, and Twista are scheduled to join him on select dates. |
In related news, Foxx’s latest movie, Dreamgirls, hits theaters just before Christmas. The film also stars Beyonce Knowles, Jennifer Hudson, and Eddie Murphy, Foxx explained how special it was for him to contribute to the movie’s soundtrack. He said, |
“A chance to get in there and create, you know, and actually have your voice be on the records. Like right now people don’t realize it but it will be ground breaking. It will be that soundtrack. It will be that signature movie that people will have for a long time.” |
Last month, Foxx added to his trophy collection when he picked up an American Music Award in the Favorite Male Soul/Rhythm & Blues artist category. |
