JAHEIM RELEASES MOST PERSONAL ALBUM

Singer and songwriter Jaheim released his fourth solo project, The Making Of A Man, on December 18th. The singer described the project as his most personal album to date and the latest single is the slow groove, “Never.” The album is Jaheim’s first since leaving Warner Brother Records for Atlantic Records. It features production by Kay-Gee, R. Kelly, Babyface, Keyshia Cole, Ivan Barias & Carvin Haggins, and Jasper Cameron. The project also features a duet with Keyshia Cole. |
Jaheim’s new album is different from his first three because it is the first that doesn’t include the word ghetto in the title. The singer’s previous releases include his 2001 platinum debut, Ghetto Love, which was followed by 2002’s platinum plus Still Ghetto. The singer’s last release was 2006’s gold-certified, Ghetto Classics. To date Jaheim has sold a combined 3.5 million copies between the three projects. |
“The first album was more of ghetto young, wanting to be like this new street cat. The second album was like the first album got slept on so Still Ghetto. The third album was more, you know, working with the Luther (Vandross) cats. The classic part of it, the live, I had like four tracks they worked on.” |
