JACK BLACK CRAZY ABOUT KATE WINSLET

Jack Black couldn’t concentrate on his scenes with Kate Winslet in The Holiday as he was dazzled by her beauty.

Kate Winslet tries her hand at romantic comedy in The Holiday but she didn’t expect she would be so funny on screen.

Having scenes with Jack Black who plays her unexpected love interest in the film made the atmosphere even sillier with Black’s improvisational techniques encouraged by director Nancy Meyers.

“Jack was really having fun with the scene that night and Nancy did let him improvise a little bit towards the end of the night and it was great because it just kind of lifted the whole lid and everyone got very silly. It was great, as much as you could expect from Mr. Black.”

Jack was overwhelmed to act opposite Kate Winslet as he was dazzled by her beauty while trying to concentrate on being professional.

“Just today we were shooting a scene and I was looking at her and I said, ‘I can’t believe I’m getting paid to just stare at Kate Winslet.’ I know that’s not my whole job. I have some other stuff to do but part of it is to stare at Kate Winslet from really close and watch her kick ass acting. Yeah she’s not just a pretty face. She really can act her ass off. So going into it I was a little bit like, ‘OK come on baby. Bring the A game.’ You’re going toe to toe with one of the greats.”

The Holiday opens Friday in theaters.
