J HOLIDAY DROPS NEW SINGLE

Red Cafe hooks up with Akon’s Konvict label……

Washington, DC based singer songwriter J Holiday will release his debut album, Back Of My Lac, on Tuesday, October 2nd. The singer, who is currently on tour with Keyshia Cole, is enjoying the success of his debut single, “Bed.” The song is Number One this week on the Radio & Records urban chart with over 4900 spins at urban radio. The song is also Number Six on the national CHR Rhythmic chart with over 4,000 spins at pop radio.

Holiday is currently prepping the second single from the project, “Suffocate.” A video for the song is expected to hit urban video outlets in the coming weeks

“The DC music scene, it’s just, it’s almost slim to none besides go-go, you know what I’m sayin’? We really known for our go-go. It’s a lot of go-go bands out there. But as far as the music scene and mainstream music, there is no scene out there, you know what I’m sayin’? And you know so T.A., Anthony ‘T.A’ Tate came to DC, scooped up my group, took us to Atlanta, you know what I’m sayin’, cause that’s where he was based out of. So that was really the main decision to go to Atlanta. It wasn;t necessarily that we just wanted to be in Atlanta. So that’s how I ended up in Atlanta.”

Holiday, who is from Washington, DC, got his start singing background for Ginuwine. He explained how he ended up in Atlanta while pursuing his musical career. The singer said,
