HOW LINKIN PARK CHOSE PROJEKT REV BANDS 2008
Figure out who makes the decision abd how when it comes to Linkin Park’s Projekt Revolution line-up. |
As with last year’s Projekt Revolution tour, which featured My Chemical Romance and Taking Back Sunday, fans are always going to have an opinion on the quality of the tour’s line-up. This year Linkin Park will be heading out with mainstagers Chris Cornell, The Bravery, and Ashes Divide, and Revolutionary stagers Atreyu, 10 Years, Armor For Sleep, Hawthorne Heights, and Street Drum Corps. |
In a previous interview Mike Shinoda talked about how the band decides the Projekt Revolution line-up. |
“Each of the guys in the band are involved in a different category of our existence. Each guy is a chairperson for different things. One of my things is art, one of my things is in the studio. Dave works a lot with sponsorships, and Chester works a lot with the shows and the tours, and Rob Bourdon is on that committee as well. So the two of those guys headed it off, and when they got to the point with a summer tour, for example Projekt Revolution, they put together all the tour, the ideas, and when they got to the point where it was possible, where they were talking to bands that were available and had open schedules and etcetera, then they presented it to the whole band.” |
Like it or not, Projekt Revolution 2008 tickets go on sale in certain markets starting April 11. Check the Projektrevoltuion.com site for more information. |
