HOLLYWOOD UNDEAD GET A PIECE OF THE EMINEM BIZKIT?

Hollywood Undead take on the notion that they sound a lot like Eminem and Limp Bizkit.

Hollywood Undead has brought their rap/pop/rock/metal sound to the forefront with Swan Songs and tunes like “Young,” “No.5,” and “Undead,” and many are trying to get their head around their eclectic style mix. Some harken it to Eminem and some say Limp Bizkit.

Hollywood Undead’s Johnny 3 Tears admitted that he was a fan of Limp Bizkit among other influences.

“We get all kinds of crap like that; this band, that band or that band. Music is Music and especially with the bands out right now you’re going to get comparisons. I actually really like Emimem, and Limp Bizkit is cool too, but I don’t think we sound anything like them. There’s no way you’re going to write music without getting some comparison because you’re drawing off these things, what you grew up on and what you listened to. No matter how you do it, you’re going to put some of that into it, you know?”

He also said that theatrical guitarist Wes Borland has come out to check out the band.

[Charlie Scene] “Danny Lohner who produced a few songs on our record is like best friends with Wes from Limp Bizkit, and he came to a couple of our shows so it’s good to see that they’re getting back together, getting along, and touring.” [Johnny 3 Tears] “Maybe you’ll see us on the road with them?” [Charlie Scene] “Who knows?”

A summer tour between the two seems a no-brainer, but no word of tour plans has been announced.
