HIP HOP SUMMIT TO HIT LOS ANGELES

The Hip Hop Summit Action Network’s Get Your Money Right Financial Empowerment Summit is scheduled to hit Los Angeles this Saturday, September 30th. Tyrese, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, MC Lyte, YoYo, Chingo Bling, Kid Frost, Melyssa Ford, Lamar Odom, Taraji Henson, Bryan Leach and the Terrero Brothers are all scheduled to join Russell Simmons and Dr. Benjamin Chavis at The Chrysler Financial sponsored event, to be held on the campus of the University of Southern California from 1:30-3:30 p.m.

Snoop Dogg is also scheduled to make a special appearance at the summit which has been making its way across the country.

“Well it’s probably a perfect time to be African American, Latino, because we’re moving culture. Whether it’s on Madison Avenue, whether it’s a McDonald’s jingle has some kind of rap. Gap commercial has some kind of rap. We affect the world and we affect the money that’s moving around in the world.”

At the New York stop, Violator Management head Chris Lighty explained that it’s a great time to be a minority. He said,
