HINDER GOES 3X PLATINUM, BAND HEADS IN TO RECORD
Hinder’s debut album Extreme Behavior has gone triple platinum, and they’re heading into the studio to beging album Number Two. |
Extreme Behavior, the debut album from Hinder, has reached triple platinum as certified by the Recording Industry Association of America for three million units sold. The band also has had three million ringtones sold of their smash hit “Lips Of An Angel.” Hinder is now off the road and has songs lined up for the new album. |
Hinder talked about what they’re trying to achieve. |
[Cody Hanson] “I would say that we’re kind of on a mission. It’s like what you said earlier. The rap guys and hip-hop guys have kind of taken it over.” [Austin Winkler] “I’m sick and tired of seeing that crap on TV.” [Hanson] “They don’t have anything to say, you know what I mean? So I’m really, really tired of it, and I think it’s time to bring back the fun days of rock and roll. That’s how it should be.” |
The band already has a framework for many of the songs to appear on their second album, and they’re working once again with Brian Howes. Austin Winkler said of Howes, “He knows our strengths and works very, very well with everyone in the band.” Frontman Austin Winkler had a brush with the law in December, getting pulled over and charged with a DUI on his way home from his own engagement party in Jonesboro, Arkansas.rn |
