HENRY ROLLINS UNCUT IN ISRAEL

Henry Rollins premieres his second season of The Henry Rollins Show in Israel.

The Henry Rollins Show is back on IFC for its second season, and this time the outspoken rocker is taking his inquisitive mind to the streets of the world as well as the studio in Los Angeles.

The first episode was shot entirely on location in Israel where Henry performed two nights in Tel Aviv and visited politically charged sights like The Wailing Wall, and the West Bank. Viewers can also see Henry getting an Israeli skin treatment.

“It was my first time I ever jumped into the Dead Sea. It’s so full of minerals and salt and salts that you actually as you know you kind of float on top of it. You can not sink. So you’re kind of lying on your back and you’re just kind of above it somehow and to taste the water it’s really strong and they had these showers thankfully and I hopped out of the sea after we did our shots. And I scrubbed myself as hard as I could to get that stuff off me and by the end of the day I’d taste my skin and go, ‘Wow I’m still just baked in salt here.’ Look at my glowing skin now. I feel radiant.”

Henry never felt in danger while he was walking around in Israel but has great respect for these people who are living with danger constantly around them.

“The young people are fantastic. I love Israel, Israeli people. To be Israeli, it’s quite a thing to be Israeli not that I would know but to be around it when you start to understand what it means — anytime anywhere things blow up. No where is really safe, you know disco, coffee shop, kaboom, bus, you know bam.”

Future guests will include Marilyn Manson, Ben Stiller, Luke Wilson, John Waters with an at home commentary The Disquisition from Janeane Garofalo. The Henry Rollins Show premieres Friday, April 13 at 9:30 PM on IFC.
