H.I.M. ARE FIRST FINS TO GO GOLD

(VIDEO) H.I.M. became the first band from Finland to have a gold album in the United States.

Finnish band H.I.M. has gone gold in the United States for sales of 500,000 copies of Dark Light. The band has become the first band from their country to sell 500,000 copies in the United States.

The band who has a loyal underground following in the U.S. talked about the difference between the heavy music scenes in Europe and America.

“I don’t think it’s different at all. You know, especially in the scene when we’re talking about hard rock and musical metal music. People are really respectful towards it wherever, and they’re fantatic, and that’s the greatest thing about it. They have fire and brimstone talks about it. ‘That album sucks!,’ and ‘That’s the greatest one.’ This type of music is still one of the only ones that people really live with.”

H.I.M. cancelled their tour in the U.S. to go back home and work on the follow-up to Dark Light.
