GUY RITCHIE SORRY FOR EXPOSING RAY LIOTTA
Guy Ritchie apologizes for over exposing Ray Liotta’s private parts in Revolver. |
When Good Fellas star Ray Liotta signed on to play gangster Dorothy Macha in Revolver he knew there would be some nudity involved but as it turns out there’s a lot more of him shown. There’s Ray in his boxer shorts, Ray in his bathrobe and Ray in the all together. |
Director Guy Ritchie offers his apologies for the much talked about scene where Liotta is tanning himself in the buff in a solarium. |
“He had a white sock on I seem to remember and not on his feet. Ray when he committed to the film, he committed to the thing so he knew what he was getting into when he committed to the film. Actually it’s funny I didn’t realize he spent as little time with his clothes off as he did. So many people have brought it up particularly the solarium scene that I realized I’m sorry Ray I didn’t realize I had you stripped for what it seems like most of the film.” |
One thing Guy isn’t apologizing for is his thought provoking action thriller which is leaving audiences a bit bewildered. |
“There is action but first and foremost it’s intellectual. I can’t remember how we described it at one point but it’s an intellectual action movie. So if you just want to be intellectual you’ll be disappointed, and if you just want action you’ll be disappointed. It seems like an obvious hybrid and an attractive hybrid to me. It’s what I like. I like smart action.” |
Guy promises his next film Rock n Roller will be simpler, more accessible and funny going back to the genre of Snatch. |
