GRUDGE 2 TAKES NUMBER ONE SPOT

(VIDEO) The Grudge 2 takes the number one spot at the box office scaring off horror contender Texas Chainsaw Massacre:The Beginning.

The Grudge 2 scared off the other horror contender Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning at the box office with an opening weekend take of 22 million dollars, to the slasher film’s fifth place with $7,750,000. Arielle Kebbel who plays international student Allison in the film talks about why emotions run so high for the Grudge.

Edison Chen plays Eason an investigative reporter who is hired to write a story about the strange goings-on with the Grudge. He describes why anybody in their right mind would go back into that house.rn

“And it’s about you might be able to kill a person and stop them physically but you will never be able to stop the emotion that is left in this house. And that suddenly wants the world to feel what she went through and will not stop until she feels that that has happened. So it’s about the effects that emotions have on people and how it really can take you over and literally kill you. You cannot have a handle on certain things no matter how hard you try.”

The Departed came in second place with $18,675,000 at the box office and Man of The Year was elected third with $12,550,000.rn
