“One hundred and thirty prisoners there, these kids, myself, Xzibit, the director, the producers, we talked to them every day, every single day. What you realize is number one how motivating it was for us and the sense of responsibility. We’re portraying your life to get it right. What you realize is these kids recognize that they did bad, recognize they made bad decisions and they get motivated. That was motivating for us to see them like wow this is our life, this really happened. We can be somebody. It’s so simple the message, don’t ever quit, don’t ever give up and even you’re locked up you are somebody and you will get a second chance. It’s such a simple message, powerful to these kids locked up.” |
