Gretchen Mol had a seductive scene with a mango in The Ten.

Betty Paige star Gretchen Mol puts a spin on her previous pin-up performance to play an uptight virginal librarian who loses her innocence to Jesus Christ in The Ten.

In a scene shot in Mexico Gretchen’s character lusts for Jesus played by Justin Theroux getting her sexual frustrations out by squeezing the juices out of a mango.

“That was so much fun. I had so much on this film because I hadn’t had the opportunity to do a lot of comedy. They just came up with the greatest things and they were so open to any wacky idea that you had and you could always just try one that way and it was just such a playful environment. It was fun because how often do you get to squeeze the juices out of a mango. And we were sort of slicing it to get the maximum effect and everything. It was great.”

Writers David Wain and Ken Marino give away the behind-the-scenes secret of getting the most out of their mangoes.

“That was a whole to do with the mango. How do we make it squeeze the right way. Ken: How do you make it juicy. We’re injecting it with liquid. David: So it would juice more and they were cutting it a certain way with thread. There were a lot of movie tricks that we can tell you about. All you have to do is ask.”

The Ten opens Friday in theaters.
