GREEN LANTERN INKS NEW DEAL WITH RUSSELL SIMMONS

Mixtape king and producer Green Lantern had a highly publicized falling out with Eminem’s Shady camp earlier this year after a phone conversation he had with Jadakiss discussing 50 Cent was made public. Green Lantern resigned as Eminem’s tour deejay and was later released from his deal with Shady Records. The deejay has bounced back in a nice way as he recently signed a new deal with Russell Simmons’ new label which is distributed by Def Jam Records.

Green Lantern said,

“I ain’t really announce this to anybody but I’m currently signed to Russell Simmons Music Group/Def Jam so my album is gonna come out through the Def Jam system. you know directly through Russell so I guest that’s Russell and Jay together. It’s great look. It’s a beautiful feeling and I’m excited.”

His debut album, tentatively titled The Invasion, will be in stores next year.
