GOOD CHARLOTTE TAKE NEW TUNES FOR A SPIN
(VIDEO) Good Charlotte brothers Benji and Joel Madden say songs from their new album were inspired by their DJ days |
Good Charlotte is readying their new album titled Good Morning Revival, and it’s slated for release in February. Benji and Joel Madden will take their crew on a tour starting at the end of the month and road test a few songs to be included on the 2007 release. |
In an interview earlier this year, the Madden brothers said that they have already leaked a few songs out during their DJ gigs. |
[Benji] “I mean if we get on tour…” [Joel] “We DJ a lot, so we’ve been spinning some of them in the clubs, and they’ve been going over really well. People have been dancing, so a couple of the songs have a dance-vibe, and a dance rock…” [Benji] “It’s still rock and roll though.” [Joel] “Yeah that’s what we do. We’ll spin it while we’re DJing.” |
We also asked them if there might open for themselves as DJs or if they’d consider releasing a DJ album. |
[Benji] “Well, we gotta get a DJ crew with a lot of DJs.” [Joel] “Who knows? [Benji] “The possibility is there. I mean, we love music so I mean we’re going to make all kinds of music, yeah.” |
Good Charlotte fans won’t have to wait long for new material. The band will release the song, “Keep Your Hands Off My Girl,” a track that was inspired by Joel Madden’s stints as a club DJ between albums. The tune will hit the internet in the next few months. |
