GOO GOO DOLLS TRANSFORMING EXPERIENCE?
Do the Goo Goo Dolls have a “transforming” experience in their future? |
The Goo Goo Dolls have more than meets the eye in store for the rest of 2007. Vocalist Johnny Rzeznik recently picked up an award as the ASCAP Awards in Los Angeles for “Better Days,” which was one of the most performed songs of 2007. |
We caught up with Rzeznik at the event and he revealed that the band has a “transforming” opportunity in its future. |
“Actually we just finished recording a song for the Transformers film, which is coming out the 4th of July. I think we’re going to work that one, and I think we’re going to go back to a single from “Let Love In,” and we’re going to be out until the middle of September and then we’re going to make a new record.” |
He was asked about how the band got the opportunity to record the song. |
“Michael Bay and Lorenzo from the film, they approached my manager about getting me in there to do it. It’s sort of the love theme, of course. That’s what everybody wants from me. I’m more than happy to oblige. It’s an awesome movie.” |
Goo Goo Dolls will be hitting the road throughout the summer. Rzeznik said that there will be no more solo songs or solo tracks, and he’s committed to the Goo Goo Dolls. The Goos recently celebrated 20 years as a band and reached the 7 million sold milestone. |
