GODSMACK FOUR TO DEBUT AT NUMBER ONE?
(VIDEO) Godsmack’s new album, Four, will debut at Number One on the Billboard album chart, and Sully Erna said it was hard work. |
Godsmack’s latest album, Four, will be the Number One album at retail this week, but early returns showed it lagging behind a few of last week’s leaders. The band outlasted new efforts by Bruce Sprinsteen and Taking Back Sunday to capture the top slot. |
Knowing the band had previous successes, Godsmack’s Sully Erna talked about the mindset with Four. |
“Yeah, I mean I guess there’s a certain peace of mind that goes with that, but it really is work, and, you know, the days are very long and grueling. It helps me stay focused, I guess keeps me from thinking about other problems or things that I have to deal with. Once I get to the point where I’m writing and recording a record or mixing a record, I just focus on that and everything else is taken care of when I can get to it.” |
Erna, drummer Shannon Larkin, guitarist Tony Rombola, and bassist Robbie Merrill, will tour in support of the new album, and are slated for dates in Canada and Alaska in June. The appropriately titled new effort is the band’s fourth full-length album following Godsmack, Awake and Faceless. |
