GODSMACK FOUR THE MOST DIFFICULT ALBUM?

(VIDEO) Godsmack’s Sullly Erna said that Four just may be the most difficult album they’ve ever done.

Godsmack is set to release their new album, titled four, later this month, and vocalist Sully Erna said in some ways it was the most difficult of the band’s collection.

Erna said that he did a lot of living in between the band’s last studio album, 2003’s faceless, and four.

“I was just shut off at one point. I had quit drinking for almost a year. I was going through a lot of problems with a lawsuit that I had going on in my life, problems in my relationship, problems with the band, being over-exhausted from touring so much. I felt like a different person. I was getting no inspiration from any one or any thing.”

Godsmack is charting on rock and alternative charts with “Speak.” Erna and company still have not scheduled any tour dates, leading some to believe they’ll be the surprise act on Ozzfest this year.
