GOAPELE HITS THE STUDIO WITH LINDA PERRY

R&B singer Goapele will release her new album, Change It All, on Tuesday, December 27th. The set is the singer’s second album but first since landing a major label deal with Columbia Records. With the major label resources, Goapele decided to reach out to songwriter and producer Linda Perry who she initially met in the Bay area when she was still an independent artist.

Goapele explained that she made sure that she went into the recording sessions with an open mind. The singer said,

“I just tried to not have any preconceived notions or expectations about what it was gonna be. I know that she’s done a lot of amazing songs and I really wanted to do something with her that was still consistent to who I am as an artist. We ended up doing a ballad actually called, “Darker Side Of The Moon,” that I would say was influenced by Pink Floyd that I had just started to listen to more recently when I was working on the album.”

The latest single from Change It All is “First Love.”
